Colin Burwell
Colin Burwell is a professional filmmaker, educator, and youth worker with more than 20 years in film and video production. He has made documentary films and television programming, and produced video projects for clients including Bell Canada.
He taught filmmaking at Durham College in Ontario, and has spent five years teaching kids how to make movies at Selkirk Youth Film Camp.
Colin’s favourite part of the job is watching a group of kids figure out a scene together — arguing about the shot, trying it three ways, and finding the version that works. His workshops cover storytelling, acting, cameras, lighting, and sound, and everything gets learned by actually doing it.
