Megan’s love of art began at an early age with an eagerness to portray real life and photographs through drawing. This evolved into a lifelong love of expression through drawing, painting, and printmaking, with recent exploration of textiles. Megan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Calgary’s Alberta University of the Arts, majoring in Painting. Her most recent exhibition of paintings was at the Langham Cultural Society Gallery in Kaslo, BC, and she continues her art practice in the Kootenays.
Her experience is grounded in Nelson, where she has held adult art life drawing classes at past events such as Blue Night and Art Walk, and taught kids’ summer camps here at Studio88. Megan is excited to create fun and expressive projects that will challenge and expand students’ knowledge of art.
